    Slow computer after restore

ok, so last friday i restored my computer after a screen bug, with pixels or likely. i got that fixed with some anti virus program. but then this monday, i had this Windows 7 update, and it was really slow, i was letting it update, but then after some hours it said
"Windows Failed to configure update. Changing back" or something like that. so after that, i saw a new update, i updated it, it worked fine, but this tiume it was so slow, it wont let me search for stuff, like Acer eRecovery or start up the Kaspersky. can anybody tell me what to do, this is the 3rd day with sutch problems.
    thank you.

Please fill out your systems specs, lower left corner of your post. You could be infected. What web site did you get your download. The reason being is their fake downloads that look like its the real thing and aren't. These bad things will turn off many things trying to stop you from removing them. Can you go to a restore point before you did the downloads? This works sometimes. Go here and try to use this.
Microsoft Safety Scanner - Antivirus | Remove Spyware, Malware, Viruses Free
If you can download and update Malwarebytes Anti Malware and Super Anti Spyware. Run scans.
Try these things in the order I listed them and let us know what happens. Then we can go from their.
You might have to down load with another computer to usb sticks.

Anti-Virus programs = Avast and Kaspersky. ive downloaded kaspersky before (kaspersky pure) and same download link as the other times, but the avast was first time. and im pretty sure its the right link.

and sometimes the computer starts up fine, but that's like 1 out of 10 times.
When i try to run acer erecovery, it says that i need to shut something down first. i scanned the computer yesterday with kaspersky, and that worked fine, said that i had no virus'.

You first post stated you could not start Kaspersky. I would not have more than one anti virus on my computer at a time. I would remove all of the anti virus programs and download MSE from Microsoft site and update. You can always choose another anti virus later if so desire. In many cases more than one anti virus program on one computer will fight with each other. Each one thinks the other one is a bad guy. No one security program does it all that why I would run the scans I have posted. They all are free. MSE is also free.

    I agree with Layback Bear.

Running more than one anti-virus program at the same time is asking for trouble.

Like many others I use Microsoft Security Essentials for my anti-virus scanner and Malwarebytes to take care of malware - so far, so good - and they're both free.

Further to Layback Bear's valid comments about bad links for the unwary, you might want to read this: http://www.techsupportalert.com/cont...ch-engines.htm

Well, the problem is now, that i cant get my computer to run any programs. from Cotrol Panel to Google Chrome.
nothing. if i want to run any program i need to turn my computer on Safe Mode. I will try to remove, avast to start with, and then see if that works.

if not, i will try to do as you told me.
-> last option = getting it repaired. still have free repair on it, and i will have that till March 14th.

thanks for the help. the problem was running Avast while having Kaspersky. I uninstalled Avast and its now running fine. i restarted it a couple of times to make sure that it worked fine which it does!
    God bless you!

I would still use MAM and SAS as on demand. They are free. They don't do anything until you tell them to. Their for you have to tell them to run and update. Them and you anti virus should get along. Because no one security program does it all is why I and many other do it this way. I call it layered protection. You can scan with them and still be doing other things: one at a time.
Look in the top right of the post that helped you (the little silver scale) That is for thanking the ones that help you.
