    I need to restore files


    I have one folder on desktop (Disk C), that I really need, and I backup windows from backup image file (from Disk D), and now - I havent this folder (i havent formated computer, only backup).

    How can I restore that folder ?

    Hello Tawe,

    You might see if you may be able to use Previous Versions to restore the deleted folder from your C:\Users\(user-name)\Desktop folder location.

    If not and you still have the system image backup with that folder included in it, then you could use the tutorial below to manually extract the folder from the system image backup to replace the one you deleted.

    I make backup image file before I put that folder from USB to desktop, and I cant restore folder with Previous Versions.

    Another way to restore that ? I really need. Can some applications do that or... ?

    Did you already check to see if the folder might still be in the Recycle Bin by luck?

    If it's not, then you might give the free program Recuva a try to see if it may be able to recover it.

    You can also try Shadow Explorer. If you have shadows (restore points) that contain this folder, you can get it from there.
