Backup and Restore Compatibilities With USB Ports
I have Windows 7 Professional OS installed on an HP Envy 17 3D and I want to use the USB 3.0 port to connect to a USB 3.0 - capable external hard drive.
I have discovered that the backup utility that comes with the OS is compatible with USB 3.0 and is able to store a system image to the external hard drive.
However the restore utility that comes with the OS cannot "see" the external hard drive. If I connect the external hard drive to a USB 2.0 port, then the restore utility can see the external hard drive and I am able to restore the system image to the PC hard drive.
When will a driver be available so that the restore utility can also use the USB 3.0 port?
