I cant get System Restore to work.

    no Storage Volume Shadow Copies


    Hi Seavixen32,

    In my Device Manager,i dont seem to have Storage Volume Shadow Copies,
    checkout my screenshot below

    Let's try the easy option.

    Disable System Restore for all your drives.

    Restart your computer then re-enable system restore for your Windows drive only and see if you can create a system restore point.

    You stated you have Ccleaner. Open it up and go to tools/ system restore. You will see how many restore points you have and you can also remove them from there if you care to.

    Ive Disable System Restore for all your drives,and ive Restart my computer and re-enable system restore for my Windows drive only and i still cant create a system restore point.

    Ive run CCleaner but no restore points are available.

    It seems to me that CCleaner has done a bit of damage to your system and cleaned it too aggressively.

    In the absence of any other ideas I can only suggest you re-install Windows and leave CCleaner well alone. Windows 7, along with Microsoft Security Essentials and Malwarebytes does a pretty good job of looking after your system.
