how can i reinstall windows 7 using recovery disk DVDS?

    Hi
I have just bought HP pavilion G6 notebook.
It came with pre-installed Genuine Windows 7 Home Premium 64bit, recovery disk of 14 gb and C: Hard drive of 451 gb.

I have made 3 recovery disks(DVDS) using "Recovery Media creation".
I Want to Reinstall Windows 7 because

1)want to get rid of recovery disk of 14gb.
2)want to do partition because without partition my system is really slow.

I want to reinstall Windows 7 using these 3 DVDs.
    Can anybody please help me

That would be so nice of you.
    Thanks in advance !
    :)

    Welcome to Windows Seven Forums.

    1. If you recover your system using the recovery discs you have created, all you do is recover it to exactly as it was when you first bought it, which means you will still have a recovery partition.

    2. Whenever you want to carry out a factory recovery, using the recovery partition is a lot quicker than using your recovery discs.

    3. If you want a clean Windows 7 free of HP's bloatware you need a Windows DVD to install from. If it is the same version as the one currently installed you can use the product key that is attached to the outside of your laptop.

Clean Install : Factory COA Activation Key

Partition size or the number of partitions has no bearing on your computer's performance so you need to investigate other reasons why your computer is slow.

Thanks a lot for your quick response :)

After reinstalling the windows using the recovery partition i came to know its benefits and now i am really in love with that partition disk!
    Benefits includes
    >No need to insert disks (so its fast, easy and not a hectic process)
    >Already installed all the drivers.
    >Already installed all the extra accessories like webcam software and Graphic card setting.

And the simple and most awesome benefit of partitioning the OS disk is that in that extra disk i can store my multimedia files, which wont get delete when i reinstall the windows !
offcourse it got some disadvantages too

But still there is a problem which seavixen32 already mentioned that reinstalling dnt allow me to make partition of my OS disk.
All i want now is to make partition of that OS disk.HELP PLZ!!!!

Check out this tutorial to create a Partition Wizard boot disc that you boot into to reduce the size of your Windows partition and create a new partition with the resultant unallocated space.

Partition Wizard : Use the Bootable CD

You need to download the Partition Wizard ISO and burn it to a blank disc to create your bootable CD. If you download the Partition Wizard application and run it from your hard drive, chances are it won't work. The ISO method is the way to go.

ImgBurn is an ideal free ISO burner.

I must warn you that if you create a separate partition for your personal files, and then use the recovery partition to recover your system, you will lose everything you haven't backed up first, INCLUDING your data partition, because your computer will be recovered to its factory state.

Before you carry out any modifications to your hard drive structure you must back up anything you don't want to lose - preferably to an external hard drive or other suitable media.
