How can i recover a video i deleted some years ago? Hello,
I am looking for advice to recover a video i deleted a long time ago.
The system that it was on hasn't been formatted and is running Windows XP Home.
Is there any way i can recover this video?
I remember that it was taken from a Sony Ericsson mobile phone and name of the file was probably "MOV******".
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks in advance.
Edit: I just realized that i am refering to a Windows XP system and that this is a Windows 7 Forum but could someone send me to either a thread elsewhere or help me anyway? | My System Specs |

The standard ideas on that are recovery programs such as Recuva and Getdataback.
The longer it has been since the deletion, the less the chance for success. You may well have overwritten the video. If it has been years, I would have low expectations.
The programs are free to use to find out what can be recovered, but I think they would then charge you to be able to actually get it back. | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number Ignatz Special; 4 speed manual gearbox; factory air conditioning; one of one OS Windows 7 SP1, Home Premium, 64-bit CPU Intel Sandy Bridge i5-2500, not overclocked Motherboard Gigabyte H67A-UD3H-B3, full ATX Memory 4 GB Crucial DDR3-1333 Graphics Card none; graphics are integrated on CPU Sound Card onboard: Realtek ALC892; external: USB Behringer UF0-202 Monitor(s) Displays NEC 90GX2-BK 19" LCD Screen Resolution 800 x 640 Keyboard Leopold Tenkeyless with Cherry Blue switches, USB Mouse Logitech or Microsoft optical wired; either USB or PS 2 PSU Seasonic SS-560KM, modular Case Antec Solo II Cooling CPU: Scythe Big Shuriken; Case: Scythe Slipstream 800 & 500 Hard Drives System: Intel 320 Series SSD, 80 GB;
