If you are referring to a scheduled Windows backup, then yes you can turn it off to not have automatic backups created on a schedule.

Welcome to the club. I've tried to use system restore six or eight times over the past 8 years. It worked once. It failed on all other attempts. Lame, Mr. Gates. Lame.
since when u have this pc? O_o
win7 not even was made 8 years ago.... and XP and 7 never give me this kind of messages before in my life...
Never tried Sys Restore on Win 7. Only on XP. Disappointing results.

i meant to the progrem's automatic backups ^^
    but thanks anyway.

i tested Macrium Reflect out and it seem like it not what i was looking for.. it not let me back up shadow copys on the computer at all... only on disks or separate HDD...

seem like my search still continue : \

btw just wondering.. what the recovery method the System restore use? is it called shadow copys ?

    Egoz,

I was referring to Macrium Reflect as an alternative to keep your system backed up.

Sorry, but there is not a way to backup shadow copies. It would be pointless.

ummmm... so maybe i still need to find a way to fix SR after all?

maybe i will try to rebuild the WMI components ...

but rebuild the WMI components can ruin something? like some serivces that will end up stop working after it rebuild and something of sort? (it like formating the WMI after all right ? : O)

i may try it but i want to know if it will not make any big changes that i may end up feel sorry that i tried it later ...

i also heard about progrem that fix some stuff in your system that called "Re-Enable", but it seem like my system not have some borken files to begin with so it may be pointless.. have you ever heard about Re enable btw? ; o

*i also heard about progrem that called "RollBack RX"...

well today i confirm that the progrem "RollBack RX" is a good alternative for people who love System restore.
however.. the progrem take some memeroy and run on the backgroup all the time, it start up from the boot... i don't like this kind of progrems

i feel like i installed some anti virus that use my bios xD....

anyway it seem like i force to fix SR then...

can someone plz reply to my question about rebuild the WMI components ?: P

We already gave you options that would fix SR, but it's either reinstall Windows 7 or attempt a repair install.

one of the options u guys gave me was to rebuild the WMI components : P
and i still don't even try it.. i asked if it going to "destroy" something before i will give it a go but no one still reply me about that xD

also i think it still worth a try to replace only the SR files that on the windows.. however they no where to be found... anyone know where i can find them ?: o

i may give to "re able" a go too.. it said to be a progrem that fix errors on system progrems....
