I Restored my Files ... but I Can't Access Them!

I have a file ownership problem on my computer. I just restored some files from a backup I made using Windows Backup and Restore. However, I cannot access any of the files - I don't have sufficient permissions. I can see them, but I can't open (read) them.

I have taken ownership of the entire folder, subfolders, and individual files, but I can't read any of the files.

What can I do? I checked the file permissions tab and every user, it seems, has "full control" over the files .

I need to be able to access my files! Thanks in advance.
