    Running two backup programs simultaneously

I want to use Carbonite to create an online backup and Windows 7 Backup to create a system image on an external hard drive. Can I do both without causing problems?

Hello Diane and welcome to Seven Forums.

I agree. You can certainly do both. However, if you're going to use the Windows 7 Task Scheduler (or some other third party scheduler) to have each task run automatically at a set time, I wouldn't schedule them to run at the same time.

Task Scheduler - Create New Task

I think the more things a computer has to do at the same time the greater the possibility of a glitch, a slowdown, a freeze, or even a crash. Not to mention the possibility of permanently damaging or corrupting your files and data. But that's just me. :)
