Deleted files from Picture Library. Can they be recovered?

I created a slide show In Windows Media Center based on pictures that were stored on an external hard drive connected to a wireless router. I incorrectly thought that the files had been copied to the Picture Library on my main hard drive. I didn't want them there and so I stupidly deleted the files from the Picture Library. The result was that the pictures were deleted from the external drive. Is there any way to recover these files?

You might see if you may be able to use Previous Versions in the include folder of that library that you had the pictures in to see if there may be a older copy of them available to restore from.

If not, then you might see if using the free program Recuva on the external HDD may be able to recover any of them.

    Hope this helps,
    Shawn

Thanks. The recovery program worked great. I don't recommend DiskDigger. It recovered too much junk and not many photos. Thanks again.

You're most welcome. I'm happy to hear that you were able to recover them. :)
