Restore Image and Scheduled Tasks

If I restore an Image will my Scheduled Tasks convert to the next scheduled date and time? Or, do I have to edit them in Task Scheduler?

Thanks

Hello rwmol,

If you mean doing a system image recovery, then your scheduled tasks will be the same as they were at the time and date when you created the system image backup that you are restoring your system to afterwards.

Hope this helps,
Shawn

I've been giving this a little thought. If you schedule a System Image Recover Backup every day in the early morning, It shouldn't be an issue. Correct?

Randy

PS: I decided to give System Image Recovery a trial run. I did a System Image Backup. In that system were web sites of forums where I was a member and set up to log on automatically each time I visited the forum.
After I recovered the image, and revisited the forums, I had to log on again. Are not the cookies saved?

A system image backup is a complete clone/copy of the selected drives when created. That would take up a lot of HDD space if you created one every morning. I would only recommend to only create a system image backup every so often as needed instead.

Cookies expire or may not work after a system image recovery, so this would be normal.

Ah. It doesn't write over the previous image. Too bad.

Thanks

Prevent Multiple Windows Image Backup Files When Backed Up Daily

If you would like to do a Windows Image Backup daily, there is one thing to consider. I've been told, a separate image file is created each time a backup is performed. I felt, if I backed up each day, only one backup file would be necessary.

To solve this issue by I installing Eraser. A free very easy utility to configure. Simply, select the files and folder you want to delete, select a day and time and you are done.

I scheduled a Windows Image Backup daily at 6:15AM (before I'm on the computer) and scheduled the Backup files to be deleted 5 Minutes before that. You can fine Eraser Here
