    Backup did not complete


    Here is the message i am gitting when i try to run backup windows backup fail while determing libraries locations of one of the users included in backup . Details : A volume shadow copy service component encountered an unexpected error can u please help the error codes here are 2 of em 0x81000031 and 0x8004230f

    Error code 0x81000031 occurs when you try to back up files by using the Backup and Restore Wizard on a Windows 7-based computer

    Do either of the scenarios discribed in the article apply to you? You did not say so in your post. If so, there are instructions on how to make backup work.

From what I hear, pretty much everyone in the developed world who uses 7 will have Windows Backup included - not just files and folders, but system image backup as well. Your average punter is not going to look any further than that. That's got to be bad news for Acronis, Macrium, etc. ...
