Cannot Start Backup and Restore in Win7

I cannot seem to start the Backup program provided with Win7.
I go to Control Panel and click on "Backup up your Computer" and
nothing happens. What do I have to do to start the Win7 Backup
    program?

    Thanks

Yes, but how do I regain access to Win7 Backup and Restore function? I go to Control Panel, click on Backup your Computer and nothing happens.

When you go to the Control Panel and click on "Back Up and Restore", does another window open?

Try it this way and see what happens. == Click on the Start button and in the space above it type "backup" without the quotes and hit enter. That should also open it.

Have you ever had it open, if so when?

Yes, I used in before and it worked ok. Then I installed Acronis TrueImage and I could access Win7 Backup anymore. I uninstalled TrueImage, but still cannot access Win7 Backup. This is on a new Dell computer that I purchased about 2 months ago.

Rather than keep fighting this problem, I can suggest that you switch to a better backup product. Macrium Reflect FREE Edition - Information and download This is what I use and a lot of the guys on here use as well. I have restored with it several times and never had a problem. == One thing about this product is that you need to have a big space for the backups because it backups your entire partition each time. After about three or four backups, you need to go in and delete the old ones so you will have space for the newer ones that backup. I back mine up one a week. I then go in once a month and delete the older ones.
