I recently tried to separate partitions on a spare drive I had that I use for games/music/videos/other files to install Linux, and it formatted the whole drive, so I cancelled the install and now I can't access the files. It is currently in RAW format in Disk Managament in Windows 7. When I double click on the drive to view the files it says I have to format the drive to use it. I used the EASEUS Data Recovery Wizard, and it shows all the files that were on the drive, but the problem is the free recovery only gives you 1gb of your files back. I was wondering if there is a cheaper alternative since it is about $60 for the software if I remember right. I don't have another hard drive to transfer the files to, so I'll probably need some type of software that can be put on a CD.
Extra details about the RAW harddrive: I do not use it as my boot drive, it is simply a storage HDD.
I do use it for programs for Windows 7.
