    Backup/Automatic Synchronization Software

    Hi everyone,

I'm looking for some good backup software.

What I want it do is to back up a specific folder from the C drive to my external WD drive. If I add data to that specific C folder, I want the back-up utility to silently copy all the data I've added and back it up to the external WD drive without me even knowing about it.

    What can everyone recommend?

    Cheers

I use Second Copy and it works perfectly. Once you install and set it up you'd never even know it was running.

SyncBack SE from 2brightsparks.com. They also have a free version which sounds like it will do what you need.

Microsoft also has the free SyncToy; I don't know whether it works with Win7. I prefer SyncBack to SyncToy.

Second Copy is good too and I used it for a while but found SyncBack SE met my specific requirements better.

Hi Allmac you may want to add GFI Backup to your list of apps to check out ... have used a lot of other solutions in the past but this just works for me
