Windows 7 - Asus K53E-BBR11 not finishing restore

I bought this laptop on 1-7-12 from best buy with the geek squad setup (laptop i wanted but they only had it with the set up). i have been trying to use the factory parition on the hard drive to restore back to the factory setting but it stalls at a number of certain points. if i start windows normally it stalls at "Setup is Starting services screen" it never freezes completely it just never progress after 2 hours. I also had it freeze at installing new devices 46%. it also has failed at the "Factory Installation in progress do not operate..." i know this process restarts the computer multiple time but after one of the restarts it came up with a very big error text with red coloring

i have used the geek squad restoration discs also and it got caught up on the same points

any help would be appreciated, thanks

alos when i hit F8 on startup it does not have an option to repair my computer
