Hi Keith, why would one want to buy this where there are so many free options - beats me. I'd rather buy an addl. disk for the money.

Yes Wolfgang I know. I use FreeFileSync for folder backups. It has a real time component which I don't use.

I tried Acronis, Shadowprotect and Paragon backup applications.

They works fine initially. But when running them continuously, the storage usage goes high and find it difficult.

How is your backup plan? Are you going to backup at your local backup location or backup to remote location or cloud?

Have you tried Vembu StoreGrid?

Using StoreGrid, you can backup to local disk (completely free with out any limitation). It supports image backup and major applications backup. It supports incremental backup with automatic cleanup of old data. It also supports setting up backups to remote backup server, cloud and local backup server.

Just download your copy and try it your self.

Opinion on best backup program I should use
I have a new computer and a new 2T external hard drive. I'm no techie so I like things simple. What I would like (in my dreams) is a backup program that will simply duplicate all that is on this computer, including settings and passwords, and will backup the minute a file is changed. That way,...
