System restore stopped working, Error (0x80070057)

Iíve been Goggling of & on for the last month & about 3 hours today getting nowhere. Iíve tried to restore in Safe mode, & MS answers, Methods 1: Turn off system protection and check if the issue persists, Method 2: Perform SFC scan on your computer & I tried a Sys Restore with my Sys Repair Disk & none have helped. Other than doing a Format & starting over I donít know what else to do
Any help would be appreciated, Mike

I called MS and they told me that you can't do an image restore unless ALL the drives are exactly as they were. That was what was the "the parameter is incorrect; 0x80070057" error.
