Data Safe Back Up Runtime error

Of course I will be posting in Dell's forums also, I could use some direction. I have Windows 7 Home Premium. New, will use warranty if needed. I have encountered runtime error for Data Safe back up. "Data Safe Local Back Up\Components\DSUpdate\DSUpdate.exe" "abnormal program termination."

Dell Community suggested going to the folder, double clk the DSUpdate.exe and follow the prompts to update, but I get the above error when doing so. Another option was to create recovery media to work around the problem, but I did that upon initial set up of the pc.

Any other ideas?

Also, there were no error numbers or codes listed with the error message. Simply stated as above. Thanks.

Hello Clark Kent and welcome to SevenForums.
Is the computer connected to internet? Sounds like it's not connecting to DSUpdate site.

It is connected to the internet. All other functions seem to work normally. The window displaying the error was just on the screen one day, and I continue to go to the file as suggested, getting the same error message when trying to open it to follow the prompts.
