Backup Complete Computer - Create an Image Backup

    Imaging with free Macrium

The choice of the brand of removable media is on you, you are the user :) But Sony or MoserBear are good .

The strong recommendation is that whatever backup solution you use you should backup to an external HDD not DVD as these can be problematic.

You can't. Win7 is much too large to be backed up to a CD. You would need to use DVD media, and even then, probably more than one DVD.

Don't understand the question -- do you mean what Application do you use? If so, for doing the image backups, strongly recommend using the FREE version of Macrium Reflect -- which you download and install from their website. Also, others have used Acronis True Image -- but I don't know if it is free.

For burning DVDs, you can use ImgBurn -- which is also free, and you download from their website.

If you mean games that you have installed -- you can't. Why? Because apart from the game software and any other files that have been created, the game undoubtedly created Registry entries as well. So basically, you're not going to be able to make a backup of a game that you can then use to restore it.
