How to check the contents of the recovery partition?

How to check the contents of my recovery partition?

I bought a sony vaio, with Windows 7 home premium 64 bit, but the manufacturer had installed 32 bit OS instead of 64. The service center guys re installed the 64bit OS for me using recovery media(DVD-Rs) , but what i'm confused is, whether the recovery partition has the same old 32bit OS which came with the laptop?

Hello
In response to your question:
1 you can ask the person who did the repair.
2 without wasting time, you can make an image of your OS and forget about the recovery.
That’s my simple solution
Good luck

I would think more than likely it still has the 32bit Windows in your recovery partition.

I agree with Hanna1, I personally don't like recovery partitions. While they offer a quick way of reinstalling Windows they come with all the factory bloatware. Even when all the unwanted programs are uninstalled there are still certain files/folders/registry keys that are left behind.

I'd rather do a complete clean install then create a backup image before I install anything else.
