Windows cant find backup set on network drive
I have tried the solutions to this problem that I have seen on the forum and still cannot restore a file.
Here is my scenario:
I have an Ethernet LAN that I have 2 computers on (Computer B running Windows 7(64bit) & Computer A running Windows XP). Computer A is called CurryLaptop on the network. I have many files on Computer B that I wish to backup and restore if needed. The destination for the backup is an External Hard Drive A connected to Computer A. External Hard Drive A is called 1TB (E) on the network. I have set up sharing so that Computer B and see External Hard Drive A on Computer A.
I ran a backup that seemed to run successfully. On External Hard Drive A there is a folder called Backup Set 2012-05-28 130902. However, when I select this path (\\CurryLaptop\1TB (E)\Backup Set 2012-05-28 130902 Windows comes back and says it can't find a backup set.
Like I said before, I've tried solutions I have seen on this forum and still can't restore even 1 file from my backup.
