Windows backup can manage Windows hibernating or log off?

    Hello all,

In case of windows hibernating or log off, the backup operations are suspended, delayed?
    What happens in that case?
Otherwise, while backup is running, it prevents the system hibernation?

What is the way to handle this case?

    Thanks

It may be that no one who has read your thread has done this, and can't answer.

I use Hybrid sleep (Sleep + Hibernate) and I use Acronis for System Image Backups.
I manually create backup images and don't use scheduling.
I don't let the PC go to sleep or log off while I'm creating a backup image.
So, I can't answer your questions.

To test what you want to know I would:
Schedule a backup to start after 2 minutes, and set the PC to hibernate after 5 minutes.

    See what happens...
Maybe it will not hibernate until the backup is finished.
Or, maybe the PC will "sleep" and the backup will continue after the PC wakes up.
If it does "sleep and continue the backup", I would verify the image.

If there are problems, I would adjust my backup strategy / scheduling as needed.

For me backup images are very important, so I personally test everything myself to make sure it does work for me.

    Hope this helps.
