Windows 7: System Recovery failing

I'm sure this has been gone over in the forum before. I think the argument was between your suggestion and the one which limited the total size to 2TiB. I can't remember who came out the winner and I can't find the thread ATM.

I think the MBR partition table 32 bit labeling limit is the issue. It involves 2 key entries
1) size of the partition
2) start of the partition

Neither can be greater than 2.2 TB for the MBR 4 byte (32 bits) limit.
So I think my earlier post applies.

That was my understanding but I have never had a 3TB drive to check it out.
