formatted c drive data recovery

I have to wonder if that would also work for someone on another thread who wiped the 7 C primary as well as losing a data partition.

It should be able to recover most, if not all of the data, but I've never used it to try and restore the OS itself. But any data, in other words individual files, that were in the OS partition have a good chance of being recoverable.

But wait a second, you mention "wipe". What method was used to do this wipe?

The OP on the other thread used the drive tools on the 7 dvd to reformat both C and a data partition on a second drive. So far he has been trying some like Recuva which wouldn't be any good for more then individual files as well as showing one program that apparently got everything back in scores of temp folders with all types of files system and other mixed together. Deleted Windows & program housing partitions by mistake... Undelete?

The image I edited earlier was from just tonight putting the OS drive(second drive used when not touching first) from the case just quit lately(board fail) in to verify that as the second HD with files recovered in plain view to place a sticker on it. Both were identical drives where you can see what a mess the Dr. Freeware did when numbering everything changing all names for numbers!

That was used back when the 7 RC had seen the C shrunk and then later resized despite advising to leave C untouched once the RC was gone. The owner instead wanted to expand C back and poof C vanished on the first drive! Several sharewares later I ran into the other program.
