Will do. Thanks again.
How to Fix System Image Backup (Cannot Create Backup).
When trying to make a system image of Windows 7, I was getting the same error. I found my 100 MB System Reserved partition had grown a large USN journal.
Firstly, assign System Reserved a drive letter (I will use B as an example)
Open an Elevated Command Prompt.
Type:
Fsutil usn queryjournal B:
Then I ran this command to clear and disable the USN journal on my System Reserved partition:
fsutil usn deletejournal /N /D B:
Defragment System Reserved using Windows Defragmenter (not a 3rd party Defragmenter).
This freed 48 MB. The USN journal on my System Reserved partition remained disabled after a reboot, which I verified by re-running the query. Subsequently, I was able to make a system image without error.
Remember to remove the Drive Letter for System Reserved after you have finished.
Hope this helps everyone?
If the problem is a journal file issue a bit more information is provided here
