    revert back to pre-installed os came in laptop.


    hi,
    i am completely a new user to windows 7.....i have Samsung series 3 laptop came pre-installed with windows 7 home premium......few days back my os stopped to start in any mode and shows a black screen....so decided to re install windows and installed windows 7 ultimate 64 bit os...........after a few days i came to know this is a pirated copy .
    so now i have to revert back to pre-installed of laptop.....i have a recovery cd from samsung and have a partirion named SAMSUNG_REC(E)...please help needed and i have some experience with android flashing.....

    Welcome to Seven Forums deepak7. It should be as easy as in this video. If F4 is not the correct key, let us know and we'll seek out the correct method.

    i never created a backup with recovery solution....i just have recovery cd and a partition named Samsung_rec(E):.....

    If you do a factory restore, yes, it will return it to factory conditions from what I know. You should back up all your data first. I'm sure someone with personal experience will come along. A clean install would be better, do you have the original OS disks? A Guy

    Hi and welcome! Have you tried rebooting and pressing F4 to see if there is a recovery partition? Although you may have a pirated copy, they may have left the original partition intact.

    ya I have a partition named Samsung_rec(E) of size 21.4 gb....so what I have to do now is backup all the personal files to external media and restoring laptop to factory mode using samsung recovery solution.....correct me if I am wrong pals

    Yes, by all means back up files before doing anything.:)

    As this is trying to recover from installing a pirated version of w7, what do y'all think of cleaning the disk first before doing any installation? I would worry about data it may have placed on the disk that doesn't get deleted by recovering/reinstalling.
