System Restore Error 0x81000101

note: I am running a norwegian version of Windows so translations may not be accurate
So after messing up with some drivers for my Cyborg MMO7 Gaming mouse it will no longer work on this computer, and I can't find a fix, so I have decided to revert to a previous point (yesterday to be exact). The thing is, when I run system restore it runs (''preparing the system for restore'') for a long time (about 30 minutes) and then returns an error (The ''Shadow Copy timed out, try this operation again''. 0x81000101). Then it prompts you to either cancel or try again. When I press try again an ''unexpected serious error occured'' (error code 0x8000FFFF) and it tells me to try to run System Restore again. Repeat.

Anybody have any idea as to why this occurs? Both ''Volume Shadow Copy Service'' and ''Windows Backup'' are running. I know that turning off/on the System Restore might fix it, but that will make me lose all the previouse points, and I can't do that.
