you should have done this Windows 7 Installation - Transfer to a New Computer METHOD 2. Actually most the same as you did but....
    1. Boot PC with an imaging CD/DVD (Paragon, Macrium etc.)
    2. Create an image of your system
    3. restore the image on new computer
You can make/restore the image using Macrium Reflect FREE Edition - Information and download
Of course make a recovery CD to boot from in case of problems. Starting with the rescue CD

    Hope you understand(?)

But first fix the problem. Is win7 and win7 (recovered) actually the same?

Use win8 to find the file
    Q:\Windows\Panther\setup.etl
Replace Q with drive letter of win7 partition. zip that file and post it please. I'll be back in 2 hours.
Give me the win7 file not the win8 file!

I am downloading the free software you mention:

I will try to understand it and recover the system.

I don't know if windows 7 recovery is the same as windows 7 because neither of them boot.

As for the screens, I do remember seeing them the first time sysprep finished, and I restarted.

I can use windows 8 on c drive and using acronis, make an image of the windows 7 on d drive, but as you know its a sysprepéd version so i don't know what good it will do.

Hopefully I have understood, thank you for this.

Backup win7 partition when it is sysprepped and not booted yet. so just after the sysprep/generalize/oobe/shutdown.
Do it with any partition backup software you want. You will need a bootable rescue cd with that software to restore it. But we have to make it bootable first!

    Hi,

So just so you now, what I am going to do.

I"m going to open up windows 8, I have acronis image back up on their. I will back up drive d (the windows 7 drive that was syspreped but won't reboot) onto my WD External Hard Drive, and then get back to you.

    Is this all correct?

You did sysprep on 19-07-2012 07:15 you started sysprep. And 43 seconds later it finished? You didn't reboot to win7 afterwards in that hour.. did you?
