I have a Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit system. Until this morning everything worked fine including the System Restore. I always create a restore point before making any significant changes. I have used restore in the past and it worked without difficulty. I held on to Internet Explorer 8 for quite a long time because of all the bad press from fellow 64 bit users. Recently, however, almost every website I visited said my web-browser was out of date. So, reluctantly I installed IE 9. My homepage is Yahoo. When I search from the search bar and hit enter it changes to a blank page as if it were loading, but nothing ever changes. I have managed my add ons and found no further success. I thought backing up to a previous restore point would help, but apparently I can't do that. I don't know how to proceed from here. Any help will be appreciated.
