winxp is still there!! It's only not listed in bootmenu. You want it in bootmenu, or wanna delete it totally? I wanna advise the last option, because you only installed it to do a thing you called a restore

Yes, IŽd like to get rid of it (WIN XP) so that it does not occupy any space. Any suggestions for a safe way to delete it totally, so that I donŽt make a blunder again?

First promise me you do this!

Do this in Windows 7 every time you modify the start point of partition (so also now)!

System Protection - Turn On or Off
Disable it for drives, even ghost drives listed there. Then enable it on C drive as described in point 7.
    7. To Turn On System Protection for System Settings and Previous Versions of Files
You can also create a manual restore point in same dialog. Do it after adjusting settings.

    -----------------
Disk Defragmenter - Open and Use
On disk defragment page you can set a schedule. Modify it, because most likely is out of balance due to ghost drives.

    To get rid of winxp:
In what is called C now...

    boot.ini, ntldr, ntdetect.com are in C:\
    Open elevated command prompt:
    Code:
    c:
    cd \
    now for each file
    attrib -h -s boot.ini
    del boot.ini
not realy needed!! files are small!

    Code:
    reagentc/disable
    reagentc/enable
    (both commands were succesfull?)
    bcdedit/enum all
Post all output of last command. Boot menu still has some things I didn't fix.
Run the command from Elevated Command Prompt
Yes, both two commands were succesfull. However the third one (bcedit etc) does not work.

HereŽs the first part of the bcdedit result, do you need the rest too or is this enough? I do hope the descriptions in swedish do not borther you too much.
