no c drive to choose in backup

    no c drive to choose in backup


    Hello,

    I cant seem to pick the C drive when trying to backup in windows 7 RC only my external drive and my two dvd-drives are available.

    anyone know the answer?

    Hi jasper and welcome to seven forums

    Are you trying to pick the source drive or the destination? Your source is the OS drive and you should store it (destination) on a different drive. thats why it will not let you pick C as destination

    EDIT:


    I also get the following error when opening system and security - find and fix problems: there was a problem starting werconcpl.dll.

    Maybe this has someting to do with my first thread?

    Ok so you cant backup one the same drive your OS is installed on?
    Sounds logical actually...

    werconcpl.ddl is either a corrupt system fileor it could be a virus. probably the former, unless you dont have a working antivirus.

    just to make sure you can run a system file checker ( in cmd sfc /scannow). Just make sure you have a backup in case
