Win 7 not genuine after using Sys Repair image recovery, No indexing

I replace my hard drive by using a system repair disk and a system image on 4 DVD's

Everything is running well except Win 7 report it is not genuine. I plan to deal with that later.

Now I noticed that the indexing is not running

Went to search, indexing options, advanced, it says indexing is not running

Select Advanced, Rebuild, it just runs and runs,

    I tried - C:\windows\system32>sfc /scannow, it reported Verification 100% complete.

Windows Resource Protection found corrupt files but was unable to fix some of them

Details are included in the CBS.Log windir\Logs\CBS\CBS.log.

I can open the file but it is 1Mbytes of data and I have no idea what it means

    Help

I've learned to never waste time with a corrupted image. You will save time if you Clean Reinstall - Factory OEM Windows 7 following the steps in the blue link to get a perfect reinstall.

In addition get the cleanest possible slate by wiping the HD from the booted installer with Diskpart Clean Command.

Solved by MS level 2 support !

Tech installed the "Intel(R) Rapid Storage Technology Application. (I don’t think SATA driver was upgraded). And after a little clicking it all started working.

Not exactly clear error reporting by Win 7 - ie the hard drive was working fine, I could see all the partitions, read, write, Win 7 basically operated OK

Error messages - Win not Genuine even after in-person re-authentication, SFC scannow errors - not able to fix some errors, and indexing not working!!

That was a huge relief as I did not want to reinstall all my programs.

Note - the Win 7 system repair would not find old system-images on my back up drive. If you really want to restore from an old system-image - Make DVD's.

I disagree that images should ever be on DVD's. If it's not moved or renamed then the image is almost always detectable.

Please report back if any other signs of corruption arise as often happens in these cases where multiple corruption is in the image. In such cases for example I may discover later that System Restore, WinRE don't work, that explorer comes and goes, etc.

Re DVD's - The advantage is - it's a standalone file system that is recognized by a system repair disk.

When you boot the system repair disk it only shows the most recent image. Of course I would rather have a hard drive but this time the DVD's saved my system because I could go back in time.
