| | Hello Darren, With Windows Backup, it just depends on what folders you have selected to be included in the backup, and if you have the schedule turned on or not to create automatic backups of these selected folders on a set schedule. I gave up on it, but I think the Windows tool can back up your personal data as well as Windows, depending on your chosen settings. Some say it can be confusing. An image file should contain each and every thing on the chosen partition and is most often used to back up Windows itself. Most would tell you not to rely on images for your personal data backups. |

| | Im using the built in windows imaging tool and it does a fine job. Ive also made a couple of images with macrium reflect. Thanks.  |
