    System Restore not working.

    Okay i'm normally a bit of a computer geek, but this has me seriously stumped.

    I have a Toshiba NB255 Net-book with Windows 7 Home Premium on it, and since i got it has worked great. That is until a short time ago refuses to connect to WiFi. I tried everything. It wound up being a dead end for me, so i thought maybe i'll just restore it because it could be something i messed up or an update conflicted with my system.

    I go to system restore, and it says i cannot perform it due to C disk needing to be error checked. That would normally be fine and dandy, except when i run error check during boot-up, it tells me it cannot perform it until i use system restore...

    It's an infuriatingly infinite loop of stupidity.

    Because of the mix between my net-book refusing to restore, connect to WiFi, update(update just gives me error code '80070490'), or do anything besides just use Office and other stuff, my net-book just collects dust now.

    Please help me out here.

    With over 200 views and not a single reply, i'm guessing this just isn't going to be fixed. Guess i'll be making a Linux netbook.

    from recovery environment->command prompt:
    Code:

    chkdsk/f  c:
    replace drive letter with actual drive letter. It can be different in winpe!

    This doesn't apply to my situation. It is a netbook, it has no disc drive, and it just came with Windows 7 HP on it. No CD, no restore key, nothing. Charger, netbook, flier type "manual".

    Just tried, didn't work. Still tells me to use system restore. Only difference is, it ran the check about 5 times before starting this time.

    Well no use now. After researching more and finding out it was either broken drivers or bad adapter, i wasn't going to buy an adapter first then see if it's the driver. It was the driver. Once i put Linux, WiFi works great, even faster than it ever was. So never mind, and thanks for the advice. It's now a Linux netbook.
