Is a System Image included in Windows Backup by DEFAULT?

    Hi,

If you created a backup on an external HDD WITHOUT selecting the Include a System Image of Drives box at the bottom of the Backup & Restore Window via Control Panel, is it possible that BY DEFAULT Windows 7 includes a system image in that backup? Is there a super-compressed version of the system image hiding somewhere in the backup folder?

If so, where in the backup folder would it be stored?

By the way, the method of 'backup' was by copying and pasting the Administrator's folder
    to an external HDD.

    THANK YOU for your assistance!!!

    Hello Largy,

Sorry, but no. If you do not check the Include a System Image of Drives box, then a system image will not be included to be created along with the Windows Backup.

If all you did was manually copy and paste the Administrator's folder to an external HDD, then that is not part of Windows Backup.
