how to make DVD Bootable disk form factroy Recovery Partition ,

    HI Guys
i really need help in making a DVD bootable disk form dell factory recovery partition, the story started when my computer got so slow and i wanted to make factory recovery to the original as the computer was when i bought it.
during the factory rest something happened and the power was interrupted, therefore the processing was not completed , i tried to do the same procedure but i did nit succeed using F8 ,, and i got always bootMGr problem.. what i did ,i installed another windows 7 professional , the computer now works , but i want to use my original software from dell, the recovery partition is still untouched and can see it... i am wondering how to make DVD bookable disk form this recovery partition as the windows running in the computer now is not as the same as the one originally installed by dell when i bought this computer...
    any help highly appreciated

You might be able to access the recovery partition this way:

    1. Start computer.
    2. Immediately hold down the Ctrl key. At the same time start clicking the F11 key (top row of keyboard.) This may let the computer boot into the recovery partition.
    3. If it boots into the recovery partition you should be bale to click "Restore," and then "Confirm" to restore your Dell computer. Click "Finish" when prompted to do so, and then select "Yes" to reboot.
    4. You may see a different prompt to click "Next" and click "OK" to reboot depending on your specific computer model

If this doesn't work you might be able to have Dell send you recovery disks for your specific machine free of charge. This is a one time offer.

If you are a country other than the United States and need to request recovery discs, you will need to contact Tech Support directly.

Thanks for the reply,, I tried this option already, it did not work when I hold the ctrl key and hit f11 , the computer starts sounding peep without any help..
The problem the windows installed is different than the one was installed when I bought the Dell Pc,,
When I contacted dell, they told me they can repair the PC over the network and return everything as it was before but I should pay £100,, it is so expensive..
I just wonder if there is a way that I can use to make bootable DVD from the recovery partition and use it to rest my pc to factory

What do you mean its different? Exactly how different? Do you have a COA sticker fixed to your computer?

    Hi,

The better option is this. You need the COA sticker (you do have one right?) to activate this installation:

Clean Reinstall - Factory OEM Windows 7

This is NOT the same as a factory reset.

When you installed other Windows, you probably overwrote the 100MB System Reserved partition - this partition is the link back to create a factory reset from the recovery partition - so I'm afraid it sounds like you have no way to perform a true factory reset any longer.

    I don't think you understand:

    1. One of the functions of the 100MB System Reserved partition on the Dell Home Premium OEM installation is to allow you to use the F8 (or similar key) to access the Recovery partition, in order to do a factory reset.

    2. However....since you installed Windows 7 Professional, you probably formatted your disk (including the the original 100MB System Reserved partition), so you permanently lost the ability to perform a factory reset from the recovery partition. There is no way to get that back.

The only way to is get the Recovery CD/DVD from Dell (as Mars posted).

    Do the following please:

In order to completely troubleshoot Windows validation & activation issues, please perform the following:

    1. Download and save this tool to your desktop:
    http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?linkid=52012

    2. Run the tool, and then click 'Copy' - ignore any errors if they appear

    3. Use CTRL+V to paste the unedited results of the validation tool here in your next reply

Also post a screen capture image of your Disk Management screen.
