Since you'd only be using one disk at a time, there should be no conflicts. I use both the Windows 7 backup/imaging utility and Macrium. If I plan on restoring a Windows 7 backup or image I'll use the Windows 7 repair disk. If I'm planning to restore a Macrium backup or image I'll use the Macrium disk.

They don't create the same disk -- at least, not in terms of contents.

The MR free version only creates a Linux Boot CD. It simply allows you to boot into a Linux OS -- from which you can run a restore using a saved Image.

The MR paid version allows you to create a Recovery CD that is actually a customized version of the WinPE CD. That contains more features than a Win7 Repair CD.

They won't conflict because they are different things but would I use Macrium because it is faster and in my opinion works WAY better than Windows 7's built in imaging software.
