Windows 7: Acronis copy lockup

I was copying my photos over from an Acronis backup from a Win XP Pro computer.
It seemed to go without a hitch until 16% in, then blam, I get this error message.
I don't want to add photos I can't touch to this computer. I don't know why Win 7 is giving me a hassle after letting in all those other photos. I'm copying like 40 GB of photos, so 1/8th equals about 5 GB already done.



This is the first time I've uploaded an image. I may have to edit this post if that doesn't happen right the first time.

Although this sounds very simple, it is complicated by the reinstallation of the operating system. When you do that, Windows creates a new User name id. Even if you use the exact same name, it has a different id in the Registry, so the new User id thinks that you are trying to restore information that belongs to someone else -- and you don't have permission to do that. These are the reasons why I prefer to stay with the earlier True Image v11 and not advance to the newer versions. The newer versions have become so complicated with all the extra frills, whereas the companies roots and beginning was all about simply cloning and partition imaging...

I think TI should just stay with cloning and creating partition images, and in that it works excellent !

When it comes to photos or file copying I don't see why one would not just copy photos from one place to the other the old fashion way, for instance with the OS's copy/paste.

Anyway, I support your success and really wish I had the answer for you though since I'm a fellow Acronis user, even though I use the earlier more prominent versions. Good luck Cymbal Man Freq, I'll keep an eye out for you.
