ImageX Error Code 32 when trying to create a WIM file

i downloaded and installed Windows AIK for Windows 7 ultimate 64 bit. the complete response that i get when trying to create the image as follows:

Code:
C:\Program Files\Windows AIK\Tools\PETools>imagex /capture c:\ d:\images\WAIK.wi
m "SystemBackup"

ImageX Tool for Windows

Error imaging drive [c:\]

The process cannot access the file because it is being used by another process.
i used the deployment tools command prompt to attemp to execute this command, and i also tried creating the WIM file in Windows PE aswell but it failed aswell it said "imagex is a unrecognized internal or external command." if someone could shed some light in helping me troubleshoot or fix this issue it would be much appreciated, thank you.
