Backup problem when a server is installed ?
I've encountered a strange problem, wherever I install WAMP or Apache server, whatever disk I choose, Windows 7 always includes that disk in an any image backup operation ... let me explain
My disk Layout ...
C: Windows 7 system boot drive.
D: Storage Drive
E: Storage Drive
F: Storage Drive
If I want to make a mirror image of my C: drive using Windows 7 Backup & Restore, and I DON'T have a server installed on any disks, the image of C: is created correctly on any storage drive I choose.
But if I have WAMP or Apache server installed on ANY of the storage drives and try to create an image of only my C: drive, then windows will make an image of C: drive + whatever drive the server is installed on.
screenshot below shows I'm attempting to make an image of my C: drive but Windows wants to image C: + F: drives
