Backup Issues.

I back up every day. I have an external 3 TB backup drive. I use windows utility to do the back up.Every time when the back up is finished, I see a message that the back up was not successful, giving me an option to do it again. When I go to the back up drive and check, it appears all my files are backed up properly. Why I am I getting the message and what should I do. I need help.

Hello nagairaj, and welcome to Seven Forums.

What was the full error message?

For now, you might see if resetting Windows Backup to default, then set it up again afterwards may help.

Run the check disk command below on the Windows drive and the drive you are saving the backup to, then see if you still get the same error afterwards.

chkdsk X: /R

Substitute X with the drive letter

Disk Check
