When i use CMD (logged in as a user) it says acces denied. I don't know how else to acces cmd...
Can't you run cmd at all? Or do you get "access denied" if deleting *.mybak files?

run cmd by doing Elevated Command Prompt
This runs cmd with admistrator right. Now you can delete the mybak files

Run windows update and search for updates. Does it offer the updates again?
It offers 12 updates + another 4 (opional)
Those are most likely the same ones you installed on 9 jan(?) Nothing in windows update history refers to 9-jan (order list by date), so win7 thinks they weren't installed? If so... install only internet explorer, ms office and .NET updates. Reboot afterwards. System still boots fine afterwards?

    Please respond.
Install all windows updates (not the optional updates). System boots fine afterwards. In case of problems I know how to uninstall them from recovery environment. Even better is install 2 updates each time and write down which one you did. So you know which ones are causing trouble.

Optional updates are optional... you can decide later if you want them.

I have exactly the same problem, but on my desktop pc...
Weird thing is that in win explorer my OS (win 7 64) is on C: but in DOS it's on J: (I do have lots of partitions)
I'm gonna follow what's been discussed here, and will post my results.
    Thanks in advance.

When I boot now, I get
    STOP c000021a fatal system error
    verification of known DLL failed

after few seconds MB starts to beep : indicating a (too) hot processor
never was too hot while doing all previous restore/repair actions...

Rstrui.exe /offline:c:\windows is the command to perform a system restore offline.

    Genius Solution!!!

Same windows update issue - Laptop disconnected from power while installing update and then windows starts to blue screens on boot.

After hours of trying different options and searching online. I abandoned the laptop for a few days to later copy data off and restore to factory, I just thought I should search online again before factory reset and found this page. The Regback solution worked!!! Genius!!!

    Thanks Kaktussoft!!!

I am having a similar problem and some steps worked. However, after I enter cd \Windows\System32\config it says the system cannot find the path specified.
