System restore was unsuccessful.

I deleted the file that un-allowed it to finish correctly but still shows the file that's causing the problem.

The files gone, I have no clue how to bring it back on anything

Are you trying to clean your system restore entries? Just turn off System Restore, right click on each drive and open "Disk Cleanup"->"Clean up system files", check "Delete all but most recent restore points", restart your system and turn on system restore again.This way you get rid of the file that un-allowed system restore and after rebooting, manually create a restore point.

The files gone, I have no clue how to bring it back on anything.

I was trying to restore to a point where I need to fix something.

There's usually a file that causes a problem for system restore to not finish correctly.

If I delete most recent restore points, how can i even fix the problem?

Are you saying you have deleted most of the restore points because Windows Updates create them so there should be a few. See pic.

If system restore finished unsuccessfully, That means there's a file that's causing the problem maybe something like Norton that let it finish unsuccessfully.

It was a file on mine, I delete it.

System restore also finishes unsuccessfully on Safe mode.

Ok Don let do a sfc /scannow it will check the OS files system and attempt to put things back a should be. Try this for starters mate

SFC /SCANNOW Command - System File Checker if this doesn't do anything then there is other stuff to try.

Ok Don lets try Recuvva its free and it might just get some of what you want back. Run this app and it will put up all the stuff you have deleted if and where it can find them because you have deleted a file doesn't mean it is gone that only happens if you overwrite the file.

Recuva - Download < download from piriform and run lets see what we get back.

The restore point is gone since a bunch of other restore points appeared right over it so It won't be able to tell me where the file was...

I know how you are feeling been there done that. Restore points do not always work for what ever reason. Hopefully it's not a big deal if you lose it. If it is you may consider taking it to a professional. If you are like me and I sometimes don’t completely understand directions and I mess it up worse.

You came to the right place these guys will help you. Small files can be recovered if they have not been written over.

I use Macrum reflect and have image backups of every machine.
