Can doing more than one factory restore do damage/harm to a laptop?

I have done a 2nd factory restore because some issues but now I need to do a 3rd factory restore because the laptop has too many applications installed and I prefer to restore it to original settings. I want to know if I have done 3 or more factory restores can this damage/harm laptop. I'm not an technical support

Dont see it doing a lot of harm but why not do a clean install and get rid of the bloatware.

In a word -- NO. Doing a restore is simply reformatting the drive and rewriting it from a stored compressed system image.

The only possible damage you could experience would be data loss(not likely), and then there is that theoretical aspect of HD having a "limited" number of read write executions(more applicable to SSD). I would recommend that you get your computer set up exactly the way that you want it and then create a system image. Then ditch the Factory BS and never have to deal with bloatware again. As long as you perform periodic backups then you should be able to restore your system with little hassle.

I've reinstalled my system close to 30 different times for various reasons and it still runs like a beauty.

...biggest reason being Windows Update, that sorry piece of ****!

I know many people here mention cleaning out any bloatware... but to be perfectly honest, I can't even tell what bloatware I have on my system, if I had any at all.

On a smartphone, bloat is much more obvious and is almost always a nuisance at one time or another, this is why many people try to 'root' their phones.. but on a computer, I honestly would not a worry a thing about bloatware. Just my humble opinion.
