How to do a back up - full system

I am after a way to back up - I have a lot of data that requires transferring from an external hard drive and my desk top.

Is the simple drag and drop the best way?

    Thank you Forum

    Hello Melissa,

If it's just files and not the operating system, then drag and drop would be the most reliable method to copy them to another location as a backup.

It is just to back up documents and draggging them from the desktop.

I have been told so many different ways - I am very confused. It is a lot of data.

What is the best way to back it up?

Whatever method works best for you is what would be best.

If you are not going to be backing up often, then a straight drag and drop would work.
