    Can not back up

Am unable to do a backup on a new build. Keep getting error code 0x80070422. Did a search, all pointed to verify curtain services were running, did turn on some, still will not backup. Did make a disk image though and the repair disc. Have MSE only. System is a 3770K (not OC) and an intell mobo with 16gb ram. Ideas?

I know you said you tried service's but did you try this one: Block Level Backup Engine Service

If that doesn't work i would try running the sfc /scannow command

Did both. OS is on a samsung 840 pro 128gb and backing up to a 500gb WD (second SATA port). The motherboard is a intel BOXDZ77RE75K. Funny it lets me do a disc image but not back up.

No. Just finished the build a couple days ago. Runs awesome.

Just went through services again and found backup was off. Weird. Changed it to start (delayed), started it and now its working. Why would this be off?

I believe the correct setting is manual. Backup should start it when needed.
