backup help

Hello I have a dual-booted computer with operating systems windows 7 and windows xp Sp3 and I encrypted my windows xp SP3 drive. Just recently my hard drive failed on me and I need to be able to back up my data on that windows xp SP3 drive. I can't login the xp drive because when I try I get an error saying missing file hal.dll and I can't get my data from logging in windows 7 because xp is encrypted and appears as if there is nothing in the drive at all. I have tryed putting my windows xp cd in to fix the file and to be able to boot but when I try to use the recovery console, it keeps asking me for an administrator password and I don't have one. I have tryed just pressing enter and tryed using "000000" and tryed all my standard passwords and no luck. I have also tryed some password removing applications to try and get rid of it and those don't seam to work eather. Can anyone help me?
