How to restore to an earlier date without restoring point!

    Hello,
I updated my OS - Windows 7 Professional and I saw that lot of features were not working properly today. I wanted to restore my computer but I saw that all restore points where no longer there. I created one manually today but when I check "Show more restoring points" I don't have earlier options.

Is there a way to find my earlier points of restore?

Hello dordi and welcome to Seven Forums.

As far as I know, if restore points are no longer showing they cannot be retrieved. You say you began experiencing problems after updating your 7 Pro. Were these the "Patch Tuesday" updates released on 4/9? If yes, one of those updates (KB 2823324) has since been pulled by Microsoft because it was causing problems.

MS pulls & recommends uninstalling KB 2823324?

I'd try removing that one first and see if the problems are solved. If not, try removing the rest of the updates and then reinstall just one at a time. Reboot your computer after each install.

    Thanks for your reply

I uninstalled the updates manually, but my problem was not solved. Seems that it might be other source that produces the problem.

I am testing an application with WebAudioAPI on Chrome, which crashes every time I updated my Windows (restoring my system helped me to make my app work on Chrome). It might be Chrome&Windows compatibility issue but I can't figure out yet.

    anyway thanks for your help.

This might be of some help. Please also read other suggestions at the bottom of the page.

System Restore Point : Create at System Startup

If you have a backup image you could use that.
    Make sure Indexing is activated.

Have you ever been able to use a restore point before this problem?
