    Windows backup failed to start

I am us an Iomega External Hard Drive with Windows 7 64 bit. The Windows back up has been working for a couple of years. This morning the Backup and Restore showed the Drive "F" and failed to back up. Windows show back up in progress. The second windows shows Windows Back up 0 percent and the line below the progress bar states preparing to back up.

I tried the drive on my desktop Windows 7 32 bit and it works.

This is the error message from the Windows 7 64 bit notebook.

"Windows Backup failed while determing libraries location of one of the users included in backup.
Details: A volume Shadow Copy Service component encountered an unexpected error. Check the application event log for more information.

    Error Code: 0x81000031"

Windows 7 backup failed to start.

I have been using Windows 7 on both of my computers 32 bit and 64 bit for a couple of years. Microsoft Support recommended that I used Windows Backup to backup my files. This is the first time I had a problem on the 64 bit computer with the back up.

I previously tried the link in your posting.

    I also reviewed Windows/logs/cbs.

There were 40 pages of activities for today.

Please Post a screenshot of Disk Management. Disk Management - Post a Screen Capture Image
And also, I cannot tell by your system specs. Is this an OEM computer or is it a custom built one? This will help to fill them out. System Info - See Your System Specs

    Windows backup does not start

This is an HP Notebook purchased last year. I have been using Iomega QuikProtect temporarily until I resolve the Windows Back UP.

I have attached the files that you have requested.

Reinstalled Windows 7 64 bit. Windows backup works without any problems now. Deleted windows old from disk cleanup after running for a couple of days.
